So before you guys get all caught up in wishing for a special someone, or a million bucks, or a happier life, remember who sacrificed their lives for you to have the life you’ve already got. Thank the people who went across the seas to fight for us and be sure to show your gratitude for the people that fought to preserve your freedom. Be thankful that you haven’t had to endure the hardships of war that they have and pray for those still over seas. Here’s to bringing the troops home safely.

A fellow Winnipegger by the name of Earl Cabuhat sent this video in response to our The Most Romantic Thing I’ve Ever Seen post. Earl specializes in motion graphics and you’ve probably seen some his work out there (you just don’t know it).

The video was created for his wife on their 2nd anniversary. The technique is called kinetic typography. Poem by Shihan as performed on Def Poetry Jam.

What makes me adore a person is, not only them being who they truly are, but the way they are with other people. Kindness and grace does not just happen overnight. Being forgiving of others and being the better person is not always easy, but it shows your personal strength and how you allow yourself to let go of your ego(pride). Taking constrictive criticism as a way to progress instead of destruct is also a part of self-improvement. Being caring and having a big heart is bittersweet, but you should always give without expecting to receive something back.

My biggest problem is when I’m unmotivated, I do not apply myself as I should. Especially with school, and that’s not going to get me anywhere. I then have to snap myself back into reality because I’m only hurting myself and making myself remain in the same place by not trying (hard) enough to even make a few steps forward.
